  1. i like how you just ever so casually mentioned how you "accidently" (wink wink) came across this news, as if you aren't sitting at home right this very instant wearing your favorite Limahl t-shirt and eating mini donuts while "too shy" plays on a continuous loop on your vcr.
  2. i'm kind of offended by that, i think. i'll have to check. p.s. buy some color film once in a while, you dork.
  3. they're starting to run out of games left to play. a good 5 or 6 game win streak would go a long way to righting this ship.
  4. jackson was a terrific coach. have to wonder if he would have been just as effective with his triangle offense coaching people not name pippin, jordan, o'neal, and bryant. no way to measure that, of course, but it's one of those things i wonder about. he certainly got the most out of his teams that he could get. i think i'd vote for popovich. i think he did more with less.
  5. ^^^ LOL never heard of anyone needing to "activate their glutes". he talked like it was a really common thing. whatever it was/is, he was spraying the ball all over creation yesterday in ways i've rarely seen from some amatuers. that was hard to watch.
  6. you're welcome. my goal is to make everyone else feel good about their bets. afterall, i'm sure geoff gets tired of finishing all by his lonesome every year.
  7. That's not really an answer. We've got people there and around the world that are there working for aid and relief organizations. In fact, the American female being held by Isis right now was working with a disaster relief organization. So you're saying we shouldn't even provide humanitarian support for all of the displaced, homeless, and refugees? So I'll ask again. What would an appropriate response by the U.S. if an American is executed by Isis?
  8. Watching the replay right now. He's really out of sync. Just grabbed his back on a drive on 15.
  9. someone mentioned his back. is that why he withdrew? if it's the same injury, he's no better off now after six months of rest, and now you have to consider things like surgery or even retirement if he can't get this fixed.
  10. serious question, lawrence - if ISIS kidnaps and executes americans, what do you see as an appropriate response?
  11. i like watching tiger at his best. it's good for golf and it's made for darn exciting tv over the years. but i watch him now and wonder if he's ever going to regain his championship form. there are occasional glimpses, but father time has hit him with a vengeance, and his body is not able to do what he once could. i won't be surprised to see him win again, maybe even another major, but i just don't see him regaining his dominance, that swagger he had that put fear into the eyes of the field.
  12. we've dispatched a platoon of armed fire ants to patrol the area. so far so good.
  13. it's a catch-22. the public is tired of war (and wars in the middle east in particular), and yet many feel we have a moral responsibility to combat evil when we come across it. what's the right decision to make here? we've been bombing ISIS strongholds in syria and iraq, and continue to do so. is that enough? is it time to let some other nation take the lead?
  14. encourage us to save, save, save, and then penalize us. solid ideas. and if there's one thing you want to do to people on a fixed income, it's to reduce the amount of money they have.
  15. you can never go wrong with a nice cold glass of sunny delight.
  16. i have blue shield but have yet to get any kind of notice that we were included in the hack. having my identity stolen twice in six months would be pretty depressing.
  17. so you're telling me there's nothing for tieing for 11th. jerk.
  18. and which college continues to stay out of the headlines in these matters? that's right - el camino, baby. go warriors!!
