tried to watch the big lebowski once. didn't see what all the hype was about. it was also one of the few movies i bailed on. i think i got through ten or fifteen minutes before pulling the plug.

yeah, you play against these guys for four months. you know who belongs and who doesn't. the kids that were passed over from playing on the all star team were painfully aware of it, too. shame on the adults for doing this. the coach of the team has been suspended by the national little league association, though i haven't heard yet for how long. i don't think he should be the only one punished for this as others had to be brought in on planning and executing this.

jay leno's "jay walking" segments always made me embarrassed for how poorly people retain a basic knowledge of history and current events. this is the stuff i teach, and i always held my breath that none of my former students would end up on camera.

we watched Fresh Off the Boat. it's a new comedy series on abc about a chinese family that just moved to orlando so the dad could open his own restaurant (a steak house). the wife is overbearing. there are three kids and the story is told from the POV of the oldest, an 11 yr old who's into the notorious b.i.g. and tupac and the orlando magic. the two younger sons are funny at times. show looked like it had some potential, but man, what a POS. i'm not very happy with my viewing choices right now. this thing deserves a quick death. avoid at all costs.
