saw something yesterday that said the amount of water necessary for growing almonds is THREE TIMES the amount of water used by all of LA county residents in one year. i like almonds as much as the next guy, but if this is accurate, i'm more than happy to give up my share of almonds for a while.

you can make a decent living without throwing uber hard (moyer and john tudor come to mind) as long as you have great location. if weaver's location becomes an issue, yikes.

i like what espn had last night. they showed the strike zone during every single pitch, plus they had this really interesting view from the side showing the pitch entering the hitting zone and where it was located.pretty impressive technology that could be useful.
