what i don't understand is why our prices are so much higher (aside from all of the taxes) than a state like kansas, which has zero refineries and has to truck in their gas from great distance, while our transportation costs are absolutely minimal.

kevin hart was funny on modern family. haven't seen his standup or anything he's done in a movie. eddie murphy just fell off the map. what in thunder happened to one of the most promising actors/comedians we've seen? i don't think he's done anything interesting since the beverly hills cop movies.

The Minions = B funny, good stuff for the kids, and some fun moments for the adults. they go into the background of where they came from and how they hooked up with gru.

50 first dates was a different kind of movie for him where he didn't get to act like a moron with yet another speech impediment. my wife and i really liked it. the waterway wasn't awful.

while coming home from the one direction concert in san diego thursday night/friday morning, we hit a stretch of the 5 by camp pendleton, about where they have the immigration checkpoint. traffic slowed down to a stop, and this was at 12:45 am. i thought it odd for that late at night but figured it would move quickly. boy was i wrong. two (*&^^&%$_ hours and five miles later, traffic returned to normal. the reason for the two hour delay? they had shut down three lanes of traffic for construction and it took forever for people to merge. when we finally got to where it had shut down to just one lane, there was not a single caltrans vehicle or worker, nor was there any freakin' sign of work being done, having been done, or about to be done. nothing. nada. zip. we lost two bloody hours for absolutely nothing. i was ready to spit nails. we finally got back home at 5 am. it took us four hours. i'd like to nuke caltrans right now.
