    game 1, 1988 world series. got tickets from a guy at school. canseco hit a laser grand slam to center, mickey hatcher hit a homer to left and ran the bases like he was afraid they weren't going to let it count, and then the 8 minute drama of gibson vs. eckersly.

    our former school secretary was from canada and i used to tell kids she spoke canadian. every year there would be at least one kid who'd go into the office and ask her about it.

    Yeah, I think you have to come down hard not only on the kids but on the team as well. Forfeiting the season would be reasonable, and those kids careers should be done.

    fair point. we're already being proactive and are considering making some changes to her class schedule so she can get use to the rigors of life on a university campus. so far: dropping science and adding gardening dropping reading and adding another PE class dropping math and adding art

    well, so much for taboo's latest comeback. i'm not knowledgeable enough to know what he needs to fix, but after 3 or 4 teams giving him the heave ho, it seems pretty clear the NFL doesn't see him as a legit QB option. so what next for the praying man? position switch? back to espn? coaching?
