  1. well, that's the thing. the increase in price over the years has done nothing to reduce the size of the crowds. it's a nice problem to have (having a full park nearly every single day).
  2. i'm still trying to figure out why they build these out of acrylic. on good morning america today they said it shattered when someone put down a cup of coffee on it. trying to understand how that happened. must have been cuban coffee or something.
  3. LOL. that's awesome. did they give a trophy to all of the fans on opening night?
  4. simplistic question . . . why don't terminally ill people just jump off a bridge or step in front of a train?
  5. this is the danger of having more guns in purses and backpacks. the response has to be proportional to the crime. boosting a drill means someone is going to take shots at you? wow, what an overreaction. and glen is right, she put everyone else in harm's way, quite unnecessarily. imagine getting hit by one of those shots while you're in the next parking unloading your groceries lot because calamity jane thought this was the best option. i said it before and it bears repeating - it's going to turn into the wild west when all these self-appointed vigilantes get it in mind that they have to pull their piece.
  6. agreed. tone it down since this is a play-in game for the wild card. save the bigger celebrations for the bigger accomplishments. last night, a few beers/mountain dew would have been a good way to celebrate.
  7. it's time to send him packing. he offers nothing to his team or to the game.
  8. anyone going to be watching? i think it starts tonight. they're playing at a nicklaus designed course in south korea.
  9. did anyone else find it weird that the astros had a champagne celebration after beating the yankees last night? that seemed excessive for a one game playoff.
  10. people are also unhappy that the price increases come at a time when several rides/attractions are closing to make way for the new star wars land.
  11. that's another major complaint about the APs. since right before the 50th anniversary, they've more than doubled in price, and some have even tripled. we had the premium pass up until 2004, and they were running about $230 per. they jumped the price up to $350 for the 50th anniversary, and the price increases haven't stopped. now up to $1049, that's about quadruple the price in eleven years. screw that.
  12. i'm frustrated that the number of mass shootings isn't decreasing, but how in the wake of all of these shootings, both sides are dug in and who no signs of budging. there have been several people who have called for an honest discussion about what to do with this enormous problem, but no one seems willing to sit down and begin that discussion. i'm afraid it's not going to happen to until a president's child is shot and killed for our country to finally start making movement on this. with over 300 million guns in circulation, it's a foolish idea to think all of those guns can (or should) be taken out of circulation. it's equally foolish to dig in and say that guns aren't part of the problem.
  13. i can hear the jeopardy song playing on a continuous loop right now.
  14. it's the only banner i've been getting, too.
  15. i'll bet she gets a bad review for this.
  16. disney is at an interesting place. they've way oversold annual passes and in fact stopped selling certain ones. they also keep increasing the prices of the APs, i'm guessing to try and reduce the number of people who buy them (not really sure about this reason, plus it isn't working). they've also increased the regular one day one park fee to $99. i figured a lot of this was aimed at keeping out the criminal element and people that they parks really don't want to have to deal with or have them upset the guests (think for comparisons sake to all the gang fights at six flags, for instance). but yet, the park is more crowded than ever before and people are pissed about the overcrowding. there are even stories out there about AP holders yelling at guests that this is "our park. go over to california adventure!" for me, my wife and daughter to go to the park, it's $319 just to park and get in the gate. that's a hefty bill. in fact, the last two times we've gone to the park, my daughter went with a friend while my wife and i stayed outside in downtown disney and just hung out for the day. it's what we can afford right now. i think this new AP pricing plan has the potential to cause a lot of backlash against the company. there will always be people who don't mind paying or are willing to afford it, and they won't be affected. but for the average family, a day at the park is something you really have to budget and save for. i don't like that it's become this way.
  17. ^^^^^ she was a total drain on the show. i hated her scenes.
  18. the immaculate reception game?
