i don't disagree with any of your points. it's an outrage that drone strikes not only continue, but have actually increased under this president, and it's even more appalling that they get such relatively little attention in the media while a guy that kills a lion legally is internet shamed daily and almost has to close his business.

utley was wrong for sliding so late, practically on top of the base. utley was wrong because his slide became an attempt to injure a defenseless player. the ump was wrong for not calling him out at second for interference. the umps in NY were wrong for not calling him out at second for intereference. if the league doesn't act on this, an event seen on the national stage by millions, it's a HUGE blackeye on the sport. That they haven't corrected this since the buster posey incident at home really spotlights the need to fix this practice immediately. utley's slide was chicken**** because tejada's back was to him. he ought to be suspended just for being a coward.

They don't get as much news coverage as a school shooting. The gun debate in this country is a far bigger, more personal topic than drone strikes in foreign countries.

Mistakes sometimes happen in war, but I hope no one on any side thinks the way war is conducted is moral. There are certain standards the world has agreed to abide by, but the act of war is, by nature, a very immoral thing.

If you have a repeat offender who isn't in jail, shouldn't something be done to try and prevent him from endangering the public again? I'd hate to think anyone I care about might be hurt, crippled or killed by someone driving while their license is suspended but they still have their car. " but he could just borrow his friends car" you'll say, and that's true. But that's going to be a difficult thing for him to do, and I'm okay with that. It shouldn't be easy for this person to get behind the wheel again, and if that means impounding his car until his license is restored, that's a a helluva small price for him to pay for our safety.

Jeff Biggs did an interview with Shelly Smith of ESPN this afternoon. She said she got a text from one of the players saying Sark "was lit at practice." She Sounded like it had happened before. Gotta think this is it for Sark. It's a PR nightmare for the school. Hope he gets the help he needs.

so it's not standardized throughout the state? that seems silly and opens the door to problems. one set of standards throughout the state (and maybe the country) seems like a better way to go. no confusion amongst people, courts or law enforcement agencies that way.
