    i LOVE this time of year! the early sundown, the beastly weather is done, you can smell fire places burning at night, thanksgiving is within sight, and christmas is right around the corner. it's time to do away with daylight savings time. can't see any real convincing reason to continue using it.

    i like this song so much, i tracked it down and bought it on iTunes. sadly, iTunes didn't list it as being from lee marvin in paint your wagon, so i have a different version. thanks to this thread, that has been corrected with the proper song. thank you.

    has there ever been a case where officials have said they were going to reverse the decision of the on-field officials and reverse the outcome of the game? seems like that ought to be an option when there were mistakes made.

    i don't see ersty being a good manager. he was so intense that i imagine he finds it difficult to relate to players who aren't as equally intense as he was. i think that will greatly get in the way of him being able to relate well with the modern player. see johnson, magic, lakers head coach.
