reports are coming out that isis is resorting to the dark web to communicate. didn't know that was a real place and have no idea how you get there. doesn't sound like there are very many cat videos there, so that's encouraging.

in watching trump and carson dance around answering the question this morning, what struck me so strongly is that the reason they couldn't/wouldn't come out and say people on the watch list shouldn't be able to buy guns is because they didn't want to offend the NRA. i can't prove it and i don't know what kind of money the NRA has sent their way, but it sure looked uncomfortable and very suspicious.

is there any way to get rid of this schizophrenia ad? it's really screwing around with things here, and i think it's the thing that's infecting this site with some kind of virus. i keep getting tossed off of my aw.com page and redirected to some other site that is nothing but spam or some kind of virus (others have mentioned this, too, and the schizo ad seems to be the common link). i also keep getting one of those pop up ads on the left side of my page when i'm here. please disable this ad and disinfect this site. something's not right.

i watched george stephanopholous this morning. he asked both trump and carson if they were opposed to people on the watch list being able to buy guns. boy, you should have seen the great lengths these two went to to avoid answering the question directly. both claimed they were great supporters of the second amendment, but neither one was really willing to say "i don't think people on the terror watch list should be able to buy weapons."

just bought several songs on iTunes from the eagles, don henley, and steve miller band. some other odds and ends as well.

you know, i could do lunch with kershaw this week. maybe some hummus and baba ganoush might be just enough to prime the pump, so to speak.

the dodgers need to give puig one more season. maybe he responds better to a new manager. if '16 is like '15 and the dodgers patience finally wears out, i don't think the price for puig would be terribly high. i imagine having a legend like pujols in the same clubhouse might go a long way into making this moron more of a contributor. i'd give the doggies a call and see what they're asking.

LOL, so true. That's been just part of the mystery surrounding how people feel about him. The more outrageous his comments, the more support he seems to gather. At this point, pollsters and those who study trends just must be throwing their arms up into the air and saying "we don't get it."

the NRA doesn't make laws, but they have insane amounts of influence over those who do. There's no simple "hey why doesn't congress just do xyz to fix the problem?"

compassion has to be mixed with common sense. I'm concerned we're not going to be doing the common sense part very well.

people here always want to give the mvp to the guy who had the best stats. that's not what the award is for. the aaron award recognizes the player who had the best year statistically. too many people here forget that, and then act like someone stole their puppy and kicked a couple of nuns by not voting for trout.
