    we have one that is walking distance from our campus. otherwise, i can't fit all 96 of them into my car. it gets a little crowded and the boys keep farting. it's kind of like attending an angels game with nando.

    it's been the same way the last few times i've visited the apple store in the americana, except they were women.

    i agree. it's a step to make sure that all guns that acquired are done so legally. i have no issue with that. i'm concerned that once again there doesn't seem to be anything in the pipeline to get rid of illegally obtained guns. i'm also concerned that some of the fine print of what the president said ties in more of our private info into the background check. at least i think i'm concerned about it. i think i need to get some more info on it first.

    we have a guy that hangs out by target. he's an older gentleman, and we've given him money and even some food over the years. i don't mind at all helping him. the one that bothers me the most is the guy in the white suit collecting for some charity. he stands at the entrance to rite aid with his bucket and sad puppy eyes, and i always feel harrassed walking by him.

    watched the first part of Elf during our lunch recess today. it's raining and the kids can't use the playground, so i fired up the ol' VCR and threw in a Christmas movie. kids always like stuff like this.

    we have a school cafeteria that makes decent chow, but since i supervise lunch at a different part of the campus (we have a patio for some of the jr. high kids to use), i brown bag it. my wife's an excellent cook and she takes good care of my meals.

    Facebook is awash with "Obama is taking away our guns and ignoring the constitution" rhetoric tonight. Nothing that happened today is going to take away any guns.

    and once again, the author really does nothing to make a compelling case for his inclusion to the hall.

    i don't think the writer made much of a compelling case. as an angels fan, i'm glad he was part of our team. his contribution in '02 was critical, and for that we're all thankful. but i don't think he has anywhere near the numbers that will make him worth a second look for the hall.

    two pairs would technically be four of them, wouldn't it? hope this kid is really, REALLY good at gaming because the light hasn't really turned on for him yet in school. he's my Garrett Anderson this year.

    so before Christmas i always give my kids a questionnaire about their favorite Christmas, presents, new years' plans, etc. One of the questions is what do you want for Christmas this year? Here's the answer one boy wrote: "A PS4, xbox, an alienwear computer, a 14 terabit hard drive, & two paris of Beats by Dre headphones." another affluenza boy in the making.

    loving this strong downpour even though i have water leaking in through one of my classroom walls and through a door jam. our maintainence guys have to dig a trench outside my room in order to fix the leak. not going to be a fun (or dry) repair job for them.
