are we talking el camino/glendale city college/pasadena city college? how much would tuition at these schools cost taxpayers? are we talking cal state LA/northridge/ucla? how much would tuition at these schools cost us? are we talking duke, usc, michigan? how much would tuition at these schools cost us? i'd be curious to see how much he thinks this would cost. if it's based on free college for anyone who wants it at any school they want to attend, this would cost so much the numbers would be insane.

you've said a lot of antagonistic things in this thread, but there's no reason now to add stupid things into the mix. you don't know anyone's circumstances here, and i'm willing to bet there are a lot of different circumstances people have had to overcome.

i don't like players who act arrogant on the field, regardless of their color. with newton, there was a play late in the game against the cardinals. the panthers were up by at least 25 at that point, and he ran for a first down. he stood up and started pointing and making the first down signal. it was over the top and at that point just seemed like he was rubbing it in the faces of the cardinals. stuff like that is unnecessary, and i don't want to root for players who act like that. you just scored? go ahead and have a little fun. you just made a first down or broke up a pass play with 12 minutes to go in the first quarter? shut and sit down.

we have two mobil stations in glendale. the guys who set their prices are morons. have driven by them twice this week. one guy has regular at $3.39, and the other guy has it for $3.59. unbelievable.

i have to sing at an outdoor event at the salton sea on feb. 20. i'm expecting that it's going to be one big rainy day.

ethier would be an acceptable short-term solution for the next year or two. i'd certainly rather have him than any of the others lining up to play left next year.

i think his inclusion in the trade was contingent upon him retiring at the end of the year. i have no idea what the implications are or what problems may be created if he decides to continue playing next year.
