Her level of being a royal pain is impressive. No doubt this school looks forward to her leaving asap. You'd think someone who really cares for her would take her aside and tell her to knock it off. But if all the other victims who surround her feel the same way about always being persecuted, nothing will change.

unreal. you have to wonder about the psychology of exercising such brutal and complete control of everything. the part about not even folding the newspapers was surreal.

+1 on the grandma thing. add in the aunts as well. they'll want to help, and you'll appreciate what they bring (hopefully none of them are psychos).

be as helpful as you can, a real johnny-on-the-spot for her. she'll have it tougher than you, so don't disappear. read to your child as much as you can every day. may not seem like much, but it helps put her into a routine that's easier to maintain as she grows, plus it helps her audiologically. it also helps create an interest in books and stories, and those are pretty useful in a lot of ways.

larry king had him on at least once a week with all of those little charts. it was outstanding. "larry, can i talk?" in that rich, squeaky, texas drawl.

it's become so divisive on the hill that congressmen are blatantly saying "we won't do our job and there's nothing you can do to stop us." i get that they don't want obama to throw off the balance of the court, but carrying on like they have publicly is really a dereliction of duty to us as citizens. this should be impeachable. and just what, pray tell, will they do if hilary is elected and nominates someone who isn't a moderate?
