    very true, but i like the consistency and predictability of this proposal. it would take a few years for those issues work themselves out, but i can see us getting there (though it'll probably be a little messy in a few places). it's certainly an interesting idea.

    probably some of that along with a lack of quality play-by-play guys. if everyone sounded like vin scully or dick enberg, then having just one guy in the booth would be fine.

    last night we got to hear gubi say that a ball cron hit off the wall in right would have been a homer if he had just hit it higher. if she can match that kind of incisive, behind-the-scenes perspective, she'll be okay.

    in '02, the angels and indians opened on sunday night while everyone else opened on monday. i liked that approach and wish they would do it like that every year. i'd also be okay if they made sunday the opening day for everyone. and the exhibition game on sunday was just stupid. no reason to do that again.

    man, what a finish! don't know the name of the kid who sank the winning shot, but i don't imagine he'll have much trouble getting dates for the next six months.

    well, this one hasn't been very interesting. wasn't expecting them to beat the reigning cy young winner, but hoped for something a bit more competitive. let's hope for better results tomorrow night.

    Toffoli scores in the first tonight for his 30th goal. He's the first Kings player to score 30 since Kopitar in 09-10. How did we go six years without a thirty goal scorer? man, offense just sucks these days.

    i'm not advocating that the halos sign him, but i can't really think of a team that doesn't need a player who hits for a decent avg., gets on base, and fields well.
