    don't know if anyone else here watches Castle, but last week they announced that Kate Beckett and Lanie the medical examiner will not return next season. Producers are citing costs as the reason why. if you're a fan of the show, then you know this season has been a total drain and as uninteresting as it can possibly be. without one of the major characters, it's probably a good time to put this show to rest.

    i've thought for a long time that the next step in the sequence after picture and fingerprint would be LE starting a DNA database. i imagine there will be many people watching to see how things go in kuwait, and then using that as a basis for whether or not it needs tweaking before employing it in their own country. i imagine the US is somewhere near the top of that list.

    interesting idea. wouldn't pass here in this country right now, but i'll bet it's been talked about, and i'll bet there are plenty of people here keeping their eye on how this goes. post this in the political thread and you'll get a lot more discussion about it.

    wow, that must have been a lot of pent-up hostility about a lot of things. i think it's also worth noting that she probably had a double double more recently than nate.
