Johnson is being very aggressive on Facebook to get his message and name out there, but the reality he won't have enough juice. i wonder what kind of shenanigans went on behind the scenes to keep Biden out of the race. i wonder why Romney didn't declare. i wonder, i wonder, i wonder . . .

    one worry is that the team's PR machine will do an incredible job of overselling us on decent this trade is, raising our expectations to something unreasonable because he won't pan out. they've had a "let's polish the turd" mentality for too long. i hope your assessment is worth being encouraged about.

    Meh, he has as many World Series rings as I do.. I'd think he'd want to change that before his clock runs out. He's good enough to get his payday but chances to win are closing.

    I wouldn't trade shoemaker and don't really understand why others would. If this team hopes to be competitive in the very near future, you need some good pieces in place. A guy like shoemaker has the potential to be a very good pitcher for several years. The team will need guys like that on the roster, especially if they also hope to attract quality free agents.
