got our laptops last monday and got the basic setup done so we can print and access the internet. it's all so foreign to me as compared to what i'm used to seeing with a mac. disappointed that we don't have a slot to insert discs (watching movies will now be a huge challenge), and there's no iTunes. i asked the IT guy about iTunes and whether it could be downloaded, and he looked at me and said "huh, i don't really know." so i went and found a place where i can download it, clicked the button, but it won't load. music that i play off of discs in class is no longer available, so i'm gonna have to get this fixed pretty soon. i noticed that there is some sort of music playing system similar to iTunes already installed on the computer, but i'm not going to repurchase music i already own on iTunes to play on this other system. we downloaded microsoft office suite, so i can at least create documents in a familiar format. waiting for him to bring me a connector piece so i can hook up the dell to my overhead projector. then all i have to do is recreate every power point presentation i've already made in Keynote! fortunately it's only about 15 of them. also, i have angelswin bookmarked but there's a weird thing about it. i can't scroll all the way down to the very bottom of the page, and clicking "next unread thread" is difficult. anyone got any ideas on how to address that? i tried expanding the viewing size of the page, but that didn't help at all.

didn't watch the fight, but turned on sports center in time to see a little bit of video. was surprised to see how bloody both of them were and my initial reaction was that macgregor must have lost. was also surprised to learn it went the whole 5 rounds - seems like most of these fights end pretty quickly, but that's based on an extremely limited sample size.
