  1. So what in the world happened to Fowler on the back nine? I left to run some errands and he was leading by one at -10. I come back and he's not even on the first page of the leaderboard. Reed is your new leader for the FedEx Cup and guaranteed himself a spot on the Ryder Cup team.
  2. I agree with sosh's statement. I think a big part of valuable is your impact on your team. Not 100% of the time, but it should be factored in. long ago Hank Greenberg won the MVP and decided to ask for a raise. The Tigers were dead last that year. He approached the owner about his desire for a pay raise, to which the owner notoriously said, "we finished in last place with you. We can certainly finish in last place without you." The Aaron Award recognizes the player who had the best year. It doesn't have as much value to the public as the MVP, but it should. And Trout should pretty much win it until he retires.
  3. glen worries me. i'm glad he doesn't work in the mail room.
  4. Like the rest of us here, there's probably six or seven INOs near you to choose from. Get in your car and get going, man. Won't take you more than five minutes to get there. #poornate
  5. So what's the solution to this kind of price gouging? Does congress have authority to step in and act in the people's best interests? Does someone or some group file a class action lawsuit? Do people simply go for the ten dollar alternative? our school did first aid training in June and we all know how to use the EpiPen. I'm not sure many of us would feel comfy giving an injection instead.
  6. each candidate has given the other candidate more than enough ammunition to win this election in a landslide. and each candidate has consistently failed to take advantage by doing something equally stupid. this has been the worst presidential race in the history of humanity.
  7. he is certainly within his rights to protest things that are important to him. however, as an employee, something all of us know about, personal expression while you're on company time is rarely allowed (religion, politics, social issues, etc.). as such, he picked the wrong time to do this and did nothing to win over fans. his timing, especially after the olympics, couldn't have been any worse. this will come back to bite him in the butt, especially with his diminishing career circling the drain.
  8. On campus, the challenge to hear and share different points of view is exactly what 16-year-old prospective student Ellie Carter from Ashland, Ore., is looking for. "I can't understand why a college campus would be the kind of place where people would police uncomfortable topics or topics that should be," Carter says. "This is the place that they should be having that discussion at." Carter's mom, Kathy, agrees. "I want her exposed to more things, not to less things," Kathy says. amen and amen.
  9. i didn't know @mrwicked is now wearing dreadlocks.
  10. the espn ticker said stenson withdrew because of a knee problem.
  11. but one caveat: they only perform the song 'waterloo.'
  12. chances of them being a helicopter parent are exceptionally higher than normal.
  13. will they use cloth or canvas for that? asking for a friend.
  14. pure evil. what a courageous young lady.
  15. this is probably going to sound horrible, but i'm glad the girl is deceased only because had she survived this would have screwed her up for the rest of her life in ways we just can't imagine. RIP young lady; you deserved so much better.
  16. i like turner a lot and would love to have him in anaheim.
  17. essentially it talks about how she's given herself a ridiculous raise and how she sees the EpiPen as her baby and has now jacked up the price on it to $600+, for no good reason other than to increase profits. reminds me of that jackal a-hole who bought that drug company that specialized in some kind of medicine for heart or cancer or diabetes, and then jacked up the price like over 700%. he had some wise ass smirk on his face when congress called him in about it, too. this chick is doing the same thing.
  18. heard someone once say that one of the problems with democracy is that you sometimes have to tolerate things you wouldn't normally do. i think that's the case here.
  19. can you imagine how good these would taste on a double double? insane!! #poornate
  20. saw on the news they found a ten or twelve year old girl in the rubble yesterday and were able to save her. seeing all of those crumbling buildings reminded me of the climactic scene of the first daniel craig james bond movie, casino royale.
