i don't know what history there is about this, but if she were to drop out for whatever reasons at this point and the party has to find another candidate, well, i can't think there have been any other times when this might have happened. she would certainly make history that way. i think biden would be the likely candidate to replace her at this late hour because he knows the job and has experience. he also would look like the most sane person in the race by a country mile. but i also think he'd only be a one termer.
