    this is good to see. the central valley could use one or two, also, as a lot of farms are nothing but dust. because so much agriculture comes from CA, you'd think that providing necessary amounts of water to keep our food chain in good standing would be a much, much bigger priority.

    we have a great need for water, and short of destroying the environment, building desal plants should have taken place twenty years ago. it's idiotic not to do this, even though there's cost to get it started. we're smart enough (not talking to you, sacramento) to be able to figure out solutions to problems like smell and sludge. these should be built instead of that idiotic train that's going to be 25% filled.

    been there a couple of times, staying over once and doing a day trip once. day trip is good if you want to play golf. overnight, well i did that when i was about 7 or 8 and can't recall much about it except it was fun and scary to swim in the water because there was a shark net and i hoped like crazy there wasn't some renegade herd of wild great whites on the other side.
