lifelong vegetarian. stopped drinking soda two years ago because of kidney stones (was in the ER this morning because i've managed to grow three new ones - yay), so i drink only water or sugar free juice. had weight loss surgery in july and have given up bread, pasta, and rice. no more sugary things including desserts and drinks. trying to consume lots of protein, fruits and veggies, plus some nuts here and there. diet has changed severely for me and sometimes figuring out what i can eat is a bit tricky. the good news is that my food volume has decreased by over 75% and as of last friday, i've lost 104 lbs.

for those who care . . . today sports fan were able to watch the world series, the NFL, the NHL, and the NBA. It's one of the rare days each year when all four major sports have a game.

had to chuckle a bit when early in the game, maybe around the 4th inning, one of the indians hit a foul ball down the right field line and hayward had to hold on to the wall to make the catch. the funny part was seeing the fans back WAY off and avoid trying to catch the ball. no need for another bartman incident in a playoff game at wrigley.

he was even better in baby blue marine, but it's a tough movie to find.
