so following this math to it's logical conclusion, 300 ABs = 50-60 HR, 450 ABs = 75-90 HR, and 600 ABs = 100-120 HR. i'd be okay with that.

generally agree with this. i've felt all along that we'd simply have to endure whatever this season was going to be like because they haven't been a very good team for awhile, and i'm okay with that. i think firing fisher was the right move to make. now they need to bring in someone who has the patience and the temperament to do a rebuild. they also need to draft well, and with how this season has gone they should have a high pick in the first round (unless that was traded away in the goff deal). my hope is that by the time they move into the new stadium they'll be a team that can contend every week and be a playoff team.

He turned 100 on Friday. Starred in Spartacus, one of my favorite movies.

I didn't go to california jam but watched it on tv later that year on some kind of late night replay deal they negotiated. I put my cassette player in front of the tv speaker, put in a fresh tape, and recorded it, then listened to that thing a ton. First time hearing most of those groups because as a lost little high school freshman, I desperately wanted to be more cool and thought this was a way to accomplish that. I also used to buy motocross magazines and tried to make myself hip that way. It worked beautifully.

I think this is probably my favorite Christmas song. When I was a kid, we had a talented family in our church and the mom and middle son would sing this song as a duet every year. It's a vastly underrated and seemingly little known song, but I find it beautiful in every way. I hope you enjoy it.
