- i don't want more troops on the ground. - i'm curious about the number of drone strikes. barry was all over the idea of ending both wars yet ended up increasing the number of drone strikes. i certainly get the argument for how he used it and i understand why it upsets some people. i guess i'm mostly interested/curious in what donny plans to do. he wants eradicate radical muslim terrorists so his choices seem to be either more Roops (and thank you for remembering this wonderful word from the Alo Roops t-shirts so long ago) or more drone strikes, or if he wants to get real dang funky, more bombing sorties by our jets, so we'll see what he wants to do. i wasn't advocating one way or the other for more or less droning (is that a real word yet? it should be). - haven't though about it enough to have any idea about increasing or decreasing drone strikes, and don't have an alternative right now. heck, hadn't even really connected until now the idea of fewer drone strikes probably means more boots on the ground. - probably not going to tempe. love you too and will miss seeing you there. let's catch a game together in anaheim this season.

to me it meant let's take care of america and americans first, like our vets, infrastructure, jobs, economic growth, and border security. it's a view i agree with - let's take care of ourselves first, then help out wherever we can around the world. he also said something about no longer exporting our way of life on others. i wonder if he'll stop or at least reduce the number of drone strikes.

don't imagine they'll get in any play tomorrow or sunday, so saturday's round, if they're able to play, will be critical.

he's a quiet man. comes from good stock, from a tomato farm in the middle of massachusetts. farm has been in the family for 157 years. mom runs the business side of the family business and is good in keeping clean books. his sister ruth dropped out of college to become a nun. his other sister bonnie runs a day care center near plymouth. torre worked his way through university by working at a fro-yo shop near the gas station. he was a regular in the weight room, at least when he wasn't volunteering at the local orphanage. he graduated with magna cum laude, then spent his summer building low-income housing in southern mississippi with jimmy carter and the habitat for humanity people. he also likes to do cross-stitch and word searches in his spare time.

one of the tough things for his kids will be going back to disneyland, knowing that was the last fun thing they got to do with their dad. gonna take them some time to process through that, and i hope they have a good support network in place.
