those are alarming stats. would you still want to legalize if a better, more effective way was found to deal with the 'war on drugs'?

seems like there should, in these kinds of cases, be some kind of legal middle ground that says yes, he was legally convicted by a jury but the appeal process was not completed. simply vacating the entire conviction seems knee-jerk-ish.

i don't disagree with you intellectually, but speaking practically, if you are exercising your freedom to use drugs and it impacts me through an accident or a theft or a death because of your actions while loaded, i think that's where gov't has to step in. your rights to party don't supersede my rights to safety. the big pharma companies - how do you see them involved in this outside of pills? you're not tieing them to coke and LSD and heroin use, are you?

several comedians have stopped going to college campuses because of all the PC stuff from the crowd. their humor isn't appreciated as appropriate comedy, and the heckling has gone nuclear to the point of the SJWs trying to shout them down. i'm sure coulter wants to go to prove a point and to stir the pot as much as she can, perhaps to point out just how insane it's become for a conservative to speak publicly, or to show the contradiction of how they handle freedom of speech.

NK has tested missiles before with far less rhetoric, but this time is different. Dong has talked much more angrily about the US this time around, as if we've done something more aggressive towards him, and that's what i'm wondering about. i can't recall anything specific that we've done/said that warrants the increased level of intensity of Dong's statements about the US in recent days.

if drugs were used recreationally in isolation, a discussion would be worth having. but since so much of drug use isn't done that way, and because there's so much loss of property and life and so many lives are destroyed, i can't support legalizing them. perhaps it's the strategy of dealing with drugs that needs to be revamped, and not the drugs themselves.
