that's useful info, spencer. i think where they lost me was the fact that they fined him for voicing an opinion, as if only a licensed engineer is entitled to do such a thing. he wasn't lobbying for a job or representing a company by doing this, so why fine him?

there are times when i read this thread and think "man, that sounds good/efficient but i don't have a friggen' clue what they're talking about. i wish one of these guys would come to my house and help me set things up so i don't screw things up horribly." this is one of those times.

i'm guessing whoever makes these wireless ear buds will be able to print their own money if they make it possible to buy single ear buds to replace all of the ones that inevitably going to be lost, especially if teenagers own a pair. and on a completely unrelated note, my daughter will be buying her own wireless ear buds, if she so chooses.

In 2015, board members also decided to issue a warning to Portland City Commissioner Dan Saltzman for calling himself an "environmental engineer." Saltzman, Reason reports, "has a bachelor's degree in environmental and civil engineering from Cornell University, a master's degree from MIT's School of Civil Engineering, and is a membership of the American Society of Civil Engineers." FFS. sounds to me like the city council is in desperate need of money.

"This is why we have courts -- to halt the overreach of a president and an attorney general who either don't understand the Constitution or choose to ignore it." what an ignorant thing to say. isn't it equally an overreach for states to just thumb their nose at federal law about which laws they will or won't enforce, like illegal immigration? has this attorney ever studied about compliance with the constitution, even on things he may not agree with? and i'm with you on this, cat. i'm not sure how a state can choose which federal laws to follow/ignore. it's why i think we're eventually headed for a supreme court showdown of sorts about states legalizing marijuana.

is the first round of the draft over yet? it seemed to go on forever, longer than usual. i like that during the remaining rounds each team has less time to make their pick than in the first round.

what kind did you get? i bought a pair of roller blades, and once i get some pads for safety, i plan to start skating. not sure how my knees will hold up, but this is my beginning process so i can return to playing ice hockey. don't want to go out on the ice and look like a dork.
