    just saw a story last night on the news about Patch. He lost an eye a while back and will be the 3rd or 4th horse to run the derby with only one eye. none of the previous pirate horses won.

    YK, it's too bad you weren't here in this forum when Lifetime was still around. every thread he posted in became one long-winded argument after another with whomever was his opponent.

    there is a staggering amount of common sense missing from our leaders. pre-existing conditions are so prevalent that they have to be covered. to ignore that factor, well you might as well start forming death squads to go around and shoot people. they also have to get some kind of control over prescription prices, especially for seniors.

    Can't recall anyone discussing this, so I'll ask - is it possible to do away with calpers/all the state-run pensions funds? Would it require an act of the voters or the state assembly? Or are we locked in to this forever?

    haven't seen much of colbert (small sample size alert!) but wasn't impressed. he spent most of his monolgue swinging at low-hanging fruit about trump and being extremely one-sided about it.

    my daughter installed it on my computer and we put several pictures there. it's full and i keep getting pop-up notices asking me if i want to buy more memory. haven't used it and don't know how to use it. i put all of my pictures in my apple photo file.

    heard some pudwhacker on the news last night say "and clinton has not ruled out a run for the presidency in 2020." some other commentator mentioned that with both her and bernie and uncle joe biden the perv considering running, the dems are going to look like a geriatric convention as all three of them will be well into their 70s in '20. relevance to younger voters is going to be difficult, if this were to play out.
