  1. Her or her mom. But yeah, this family craves power and the spotlight, so I imagine we're not done with this family just yet.
  2. I'll be honest, I'm a little disappointed that nobody rolled with He Hate Me.
  3. My daughter starts college next month so I'm not sure yet financially how much I can pursue this through travel. May just see what's available within the SoCal area and go from there. at a small mall in Lahaina last night some store was selling Maui dive maps. So tempting . . .
  4. I'm with you on this, GB. There's no such thing as bad publicity.
  5. That's awesome. Back in the day she was probably quite an eyeful.
  6. The biggest difference for me is color. Sunsets and sunrises have tons of potential for stunning colors and beautiful cloud formations, plus I don't have to wear special glasses to see them. An eclipse is, and this is probably just my view, a big, colorless shadow for a few moments. I get that they're rare, but it Doesn't interest me in the least.
  7. First person to suggest "I'm with Her" as a candidate? I'm going to kill you, and then I'm going to ban your account here. and yes, in that order.
  8. Yep. You can only defy the laws of physics for so long. better get your house in order, Guam.
  9. Should be a button up jersey, not a 70s pullover.
  10. It's been amazing to see how many people see this strictly as a race issue, as if talent doesn't matter.
  11. my first "favorite" musician. As talented a guitar player as there ever was. my dad used to hang around the set of glen campbells show, and ended up going to several tapings. He brought me along once, but because I was younger than the minimum age, I was to tell anyone who asked that I was a couple years older. Fortunately it never came up, but I felt kind of mavericky that night. plenty of GC songs in my playlists. He just made good music, lots and lots of it. This is a huge loss. he was also the name and host of the L.A. open golf tournament for several years. thank you, Glen, for making quality music, and for making so much of it. Thank you very, very much.
  12. Mans humanity to man. What a tool.
  13. Maybe it's more accurate to say they traded away the very few valuable minor league assets they had from a system that was severely lacking talent and depth.
  14. I can't imagine traveling somewhere to watch something that's about a million times better to watch on tv. plus it's a school day and I won't be able to get out of work...
  15. Loved having Baylor on the halos. I remember a homer he hit at the Big A, and I swear that ball was never higher than ten feet off the ground. Can't remember anyone hitting the ball harder than him. was sitting down the third base line for a game in '79. Big Don roped one foul and it was headed my way. Took one bounce on the dirt and headed right a team me. All I had to do was reach my hand out about six inches away from my hip and catch that smoking hot liner. My life flashed before my eyes, however, and all I could picture was the ball hitting my hand and leaving a bloody stump as the ball with a bloody hand attached to it keep screaming through the seats, like something you'd see in a cartoon.
  16. 16 jerseys at $200 per . . . and that's a conservative estimate.
  17. No turtle town option today with this company. That would have blown my mind to add that to the first dive.
  18. Did our snorkeling trip this morning at Molokini and it was phenomenal. One of the most enjoyable things I've ever done. Wife and daughter did snorkeling while I did snuba, which is a combo of snorkeling and scuba. It rocked and makes me want to get certified for scuba. my immediate impression on entering the water was how friggin ' blue it all was. I grew up three miles from manhatten beach and never saw water that blue, ever. We were in about 20 feet of water, it just felt so vast. My partner and I, a 14 year old girl from Idaho, were tethered to the same air tank, so wherever one of us went, both of us went. It worked out well. The tether prevented us from going deeper than about 12 or 15 feet, but for a first dive that was absolutely fine. Plenty of fish, mostly Tangs (black, gray, and yellow varieties). There was also a native black, yellow, and white fish that looked like an angel fish, but captain Dan said it was another breed. The water was so clear and yet so blue, and it was all so magnificent. We were under for 30 minutes and I wished very much it could have been longer. Climbing back onto the boat was the toughest part of my day because I had to get on my knees for a bit on the ladder, and it was very uncomfortable. But I determined to get through it and was fine. returned my diving harness and weight belt then went back in the water and snorkeled with my wife and daughter. It was good but a bit of a letdown after the snuba, to be perfectly honest. I think I'm hooked. they fed us on the boat, both breakfast and lunch. They even had veggie burgers available, though the BBQ pork and BBQ chicken smelled amazing while cooking on the grill. My veggie burger was excellent, however, and I'd eat it again. I bought the picture package and have it on a thumb drive. Will share pictures some time after I return home and can access my computer. i still can't get over blue the water was and how much fun I had.
  19. Sorry, Strad, but I'm only taking recommendations from insanely hot female boat captains.
  20. Cool. Glad you're enjoying them. The ice cream place is still there and is a Haagen Daz, which may or may not be new. There's also a gelato place and my brother got an amazing peanut butter and hazelnut combo. Really, really good. my brother ad I drove up to Kapalua to see the Plantation course this morning. It rocked. Bought a couple of things in the pro shop but couldn't pull the trigger on a sleeve of three imprinted Calloway Chrome soft balls for $18 (the Titleist Pro V1's were $20). Ouch. Felt bold and asked them if I could borrow a putter and go out to the practice green for a couple of putts. They said sure, go ahead. Handed me a putter and five golf balls and bingo. That was pretty awesome. Thought of how much you would have enjoyed being there with me @gotbeer and @Adam and @nate and @stevestevens. We're at the Marriott this week and the Royal Ka'anapali golf course is right here. Pulled in to their pro shop and bought a couple of things there, also. This was the home of a senior tour event, an LPGA event, and the home of the Seniot Tour Skins Game, so there are some pictures on the walls. Their prices are TONS more reasonable than Kapalua ($129 resort price vs. $500). When we come back, we're bringing the sticks and playing Ka'anapali. going snorkeling tomorrow and hoping for calm waters.
  21. Two birds, one stone. That sounds the kind of forward thinking we need in Washington!
  22. Thanks. Have heard several people mention this place. As someone who doesn't eat fish, however, I don't think we'll be eating there. Going to try and hit up The Gazebo at some point. Ate lunch today at The Whalers Village food court. It was cheap, the food was good, and the hot shave ice chick had sugar free syrups. I'm guessing we'll eat there again.
