we found a recipe for panera's broccoli cheese soup. it was fantastic.

wow, talk about your good timing. i liked the yahoo league and how easy it was to use it. i didn't always like the scoring system they used, though. this new system looks good and i like that there are points outside of the top 3, plus bogey free and birdie streaks. should be fun to try something new.

i've never been a fan of the red on red scheme (apologies to mrs. @red321), so the option of a blue jersey with red lettering, or a red jersey with blue lettering appeals to me. i also like the blue cap w/red bill and red A on it. more than anything, i wish they'd bring back the sleeveless jerseys. those were my favorite by far. before i lost all my weight, i found a pro-weight sleeveless jersey and had it personalized with Salmon and #15. Can't wear it at all now. may try to get it signed and simply frame it at this point.

Condolences, Sully. There's nothing like the connection a guy has with his dog. im at a point where I'm ready to find a dog for our family. Need to have our landlord fix a fence issue for us first, but I miss the companionship a dog provides.

mancini knows the story better but what i remember is that we had a thread with hot chicks and fast cars, and some guy posted pics of ellie with his ride, putting her in a bikini and posing sexily beside it. mancini found them and posted this one as a joke. it was a big hit here. at least that's how i remember it. @mancini79?

we watched them for the first hour. i was entertained but my wife was thoroughly irritated so we changed to channel 5. i liked the whole thing about his fear of horses and how he yelled at the tournament of roses director to get his attention.

i watched it saturday night and thought the same thing. i'm glad that colin firth was brought back. i thought the elton john story line was good. julianne moore was a good villain. thought channing tatum's character could have been done by almost any other actor for a lot less money than what he likely charged for his 7 minutes of screen time. looking forward to the third movie.

dan fouts was on knx radio this morning and said if they'd won one of the early games in week 1 or 2 where they lost because of a missed or blocked field goal, they'd have made the playoffs. that'd be hard to stomach for an entire off season.

they were here in LA for what, a dozen years or so? they've been gone for 22 years. i'm surprised there's still such a passionate group around here that follows them so devotedly. even jim hill on channel 2 still gives them top billing during football season (which i wish he would stop doing). they're not an LA team.

they lost Carr for 2 or 3 games though. should that have mattered? i'd have given del rio another year to see if this year was just an outlier. he was 25-23 in his three years there. that's the most success that team has had since the super bowl season of '02.
