now i'm anxious for june to get here.

the buffet breakfast at the grand wailean in maui was $35 per person. we said screw that and ordered a la cart. for two of us, the bill came out to $67 instead of $70 plus tax. yeah, pretty savy on our part. we walked into town and ate for about $25 total per meal per day the rest of our stay there.

Phil played terrific this week. His putting was outstanding. justin thomas continues to impress the daylights out of the golf world every week. After that ridiculous shot on 18, overlooked was the fact that he was -16 for Saturday and Sunday. and congrats to Michelle Wie for a thrilling win in Singapore, her first win in four years.

i think they can make the playoffs without richards. honestly, i'm not sure what to expect from him. his last 3 or 4 seasons have been filled with health problems, and there are questions (for me) about whether or not his arm will be sound enough to make 30+ starts this season. anything positive from him is a bonus, but yeah, give arrieta a call and see what he wants.

we got a decent amount of rain today in glendale, including a couple of real nice cloud bursts that lasted several minutes. rain ends tonight but there's more in the forecast for thursday/friday.

thank you. there are so many levels in this issue to address - single parent homes, no father, bullying, mental health issues, access to guns, being a loner, video games, medication, isolation and lack of friends at school, etc. There is no one single cause, therefore there is no one single solution. but in this polarized climate, the middle area is completely missing. that has to change in order for anything meaningful to be accomplished to help this problem get addressed in a way that will actually do something useful.

if what Icahn did was a coincidence, it looks horribly suspicious and would be an incredible stroke of good timing. if it's not a coincidence, i hope they prosecute him aggressively.
