yep. it's a small theater so you'll have a pretty darn good seat. worth the flight from the empty quarter. *that's assuming you know more than his 2 main hits, which would make you either his brother/manager/member of the band/groupie or you consider a 20 hour flight to hear lido shuffle live worth every dime.

my men's chorus has been on tour this week. our last two stops were at two of the historic fox theaters, the top one in hanford (@Hanfordguy) and the second one at Visalia. This coming saturday evening we're singing at the fox theater in Redlands.

I don't care a lot about the percentages, TBH. Kids held the rally at Douglass High in Florida, giving very passionate speeches. Kids walked out of classes for 17 minutes. Kids, the ones most dramatically affected by the plethora (thank you, El Guapo!) are adding their voices to this, and that's what I like about what I've seen. There is absolutely a cautionary tale here that there are adults trying to manipulate them into a specific script, and they need to be extremely cautious about getting so emotionally caught up Inc all of this that THEIR voice doesn't get manipulated or lost - some will argue that's already happened. From the limited amount I saw of Saturday's rally, one speaker emphasized that they weren't looking to ban all weapons, and I was relieved to see that. theres definitely a fine line for the kids to walk here.

I love that the kids are speaking up. They're absolutely correct that the adults have again and again dropped the ball in a variety of ways on this gigantic issue, so their voice has huge importanc. For them to March, protest, and speak is terrific, and I'm glad that they're taking the approach of the tail wagging the dog. the status quo isn't working and they realize it. The adults continue to sit on their collective thumbs and the kids are saying that this is no longer acceptable.

Cubs are out of town while I'm there, plus our district is buying a block of tickets for the ChiSox-Yankees game. Maybe I need to have lunch with Manfred and get him to change things just for me while I'm there. That shouldn't really too difficult.

In 1985 I flew to Chicago to help a friend move back to California. We were walking around and unbeknownst to me, ended walking around the outside of Wrigley. Didn't recognize it at all. My friend finally said something about it and I felt like a real lug nut for not recognizing where we were. Would like to have gone to a game there. headed to Chicago in August and going to Comiskey for the first time. I hope the hot dogs are good.

We've gone to three takings of Americas Got Talent in the last three weeks. The tickets are free and they tape at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium. It was interesting. Saw some really good talent, some mediocre stuff, and a couple of real bizarre things. Plus we got to see Tyra Banks in all of her jiggly goodness.

That's because you smell like a double-double all the time, and it's rather pleasant. however, if you smelled like the fries they'd likely toss you off the roof.

Oreos now has a cookie with double the cream stuffing, plus a bunch of exotic flavors. They even have a blonde Oreo now. Not kidding, either.
