    man, carve this in stone. it's why it's tough to read several of the posts in this forum after a two or three game losing streak. we weren't as good as our 13-3 start, nor were we as bad as our 3-9 funk. ebb and flow, people. ebb and flow.

    i think that's pretty much everyone's dream. $1.5 mil isn't a huge fortune, but what a nice way to kick off your retirement.

    kurt bevacqua was a punk. one of the best quotes ever was when a reporter asked tommy lasorda what he thought about bevacqua, who was having a pretty lousy season, and lasorda replied "he couldn't hit water if he fell out of a boat."

    Yeah, the 524 was way off for where the ball actually landed.

    I thought Bonds homer in game 1 also went into the tunnel. He just destroyed both of those moon shots, and I'd consider them among the longest homers to right field in the stadiums history. i saw Trumbo hit a monster shot way up the batters eye in center once. Glaus used to hit them up there , too.
