    half a mil per would be life-changing for me and many others, so that would be enough incentive for me to start out down that path. i'd love to have been a pro baseball player. the travel wouldn't have bothered me at all, plus it was the chance to play ball every single day. that would have been phenomenal.

    DJ wins the canadian open, one of a small group that have won both the canadian and US opens. it's his third win of the year. he was just crushing the ball. on one hole, out of the rough, he hit PW from 180 yards. ball flew to the back of the green, too, so it went about 190 with roll. i can hit it that far with my PW - if i hit it twice . . .

    did you buy any back country kitchen signs, scented candles, or railroad memorabilia from the gift shop? and you better have won that little peg game where you leave just one golf tee left on the peg board. if not, i'm not sure we can be friends any longer.

    yep, but have to put a serious limit on my carb intake, so i'll plan for it. so no alcohol, low carbs, and low sugar. did i also mention i'm a vegetarian?

    it was nice to hear a different voice on the broadcast. i liked willis. i think he kept the conversation going a lot better than gubi does. he helped cut down on a lot of the dead air that seems to grow with every broadcast this year.

    saw mission impossible this afternoon. intense and incredible stunts. worth your time on the big screen. i'm becoming a big fan of rebecca ferguson.

    i've worked my whole professional life within 30 miles of where i grew up (save for one year), so no, i can't really imagine what it would be like.

    no worries about being funny. if you have the opportunity to watch a game with someone who understands baseball well at all, you should probably take advantage of that. there seems to be is a good deal of elementary baseball knowledge you're missing.
