i was at a luggage carousel in LAX when it went off. several people were on their phones checking it out. wouldn't have known what it was until my friend asked me if i had seen the alert. told her i turned it off months ago and she looked kind of surprised that that was possible or that i would do something like that. she teachers kindergarten, so her heart is in a different place than most people.

I went to the white Sox - Yankees game tonight with @calscuf and we saw Stanton hot an opposite field grand slam. btw, all of you need to go to a game with him sometime. It's a great experience to watch him drink his Diet Coke with lemon wedges whilst nibbling on popcorn and his arugula salad. Meanwhile, I took down a big beefy hot dog with grilled onions (it was dollar hot dog night tonight). as far as ballparks go, comiskey is a nice venue. It looks different in person than it does on tv for some strange reason. But our seats were decent. We sat on the top deck behind home plate looking right down the third base line. Their traffic to leave the park blow some chunks because it's built in a neighborhood and there just isn't a lot of room for cars, so everything was extremely crowded. It was worse than leaving Anaheim. Plus there were like sixteen people that were shot and killed while waiting for their Lyft.

When I was in jr. high I read part of his book "Inside Hockey." One of the things he said was you could improve your stick handling skills by practicing with your stick and a raw egg on the kitchen floor. It was some of the most practical advice I got as a kid. I think I only cracked one egg, but didn't make a mess or upset my mom. thanks, Stan.

Had a revelation tonight: Pujols is going to request a trade to the ChiSox, and the deal will happen. why? I'm in Chicago this week and tonight I met some friends for dinner at Lou Malnatis. Their pizza was insanely good, btw. As I'm talking to my buddy Jeff, behind him on the wall in huge six foot tall letters and bright lights were the following letters M A N G it was a clarion moment, as if Lou Malnati himself was extending a personal invite to number five to come to the Windy City.
