  1. perhaps, but that's not what happened in this video.
  2. i'm reading these as one continuous item/event. i applaud your commitment, sir.
  3. so sorry to hear that, nate. condolences to you and your family. my cousin and her husband live in paradise. they were returning home from a trip to SF but weren't allowed in. they're in a hotel but have no idea yet what has happened to their home. there are reports that the entire city has burned down. feather river hospital has lost several structures, too.
  4. he apparently married a girl that attended the school i teach at.
  5. my best friend from high school and college suffered quietly from depression for several years before taking his life. was driving drunk and got into a car accident. to avoid embarrassing his wife with the specter of jail time, he swallowed his gun. none of us had any idea that's where he was. probably could have been diagnosed as there were other signs that his family was aware of, but getting him in to see a professional would have been like pulling teeth. the TO shooter may have been in a similar position, although some have mentioned there were concerns about him plus the police had paid him a visit last spring. such a complex issue. may not be able to fix it completely but would desperately like to see some movement to help more and possibly prevent some of these devastating attacks. but, you know, status quo will continue, and we all know it.
  6. there's nothing in this tweet that should cause anyone to try to break down his front door. absolutely nothing. you wanna protest him? go right ahead. stop listening to his show. avoid the tv channel he's on. but to attempt to break down his door because you disagree with his rhetoric is a gross overreaction that goes way too far beyond what a reasonable person should do or even consider doing. these antifa a-holes need to be shut down.
  7. not 100% positive but thought i've heard that the city cleans it all off every six months or once a year or something, and then people start it all over again.
  8. my cousin is Wile E. Coyote.
  9. as others have said, if that kid shooting up all those 6 year olds in the sandy hook shooting didn't move the needle, it's not likely anything will. still surprised that bump stocks continue to be available after las vegas. nothing changes. both sides entrenched stronger and deeper than ever.
  10. valid points, ocho. clearly, there's no simple or quick solution to this. i didn't realize there was a potential gap in time for PTSD to show up. that would certainly complicate the ability to not only diagnose but treat/disarm.
  11. yeah, just never been a fan of garbanzos or hummus. for me, hummus is one of those "okay, everything good is gone and i'm still a little hungry, so i guess i can tolerate a little bit of it" kind of foods.
  12. because @EnglishCop wouldn't let her on them?
  13. maybe combat vets who come home with PTSD shouldn't be allowed to purchase/own guns until cleared medically. i know that idea might upset a few folks here, but there's a mental health issue in some of these shootings that has to be dealt with. maybe this is a starting point, and maybe this can be done without infringing on someone's rights.
  14. i need a sign, to let me know you're here.
  15. by pike place market you'll find one of the infamous gum walls. it's worth seeing. there's also an underground seattle tour that i hear is pretty good.
  16. yes, but you're only allowed to call me that when we're going through the salad bar together after a pee wee baseball team has gone first, of course.
  17. i thought pillow talk was supposed to be a private matter.
  18. always good to have before you head to Hometown Buffet.
  19. great to hear! now consider yourself uninvited.
  20. what's the term for when you take back something you previously gave someone? man, it's on the tip of my tongue . . .
