    This is the only hope for the Angels this season. They need the good fortune to have a couple of guys emerge from the minors that will either over perform (ala Shoemaker in 2014) and or maybe sign Lincecum and hope he has something left. On top of that Santiago has to continue to pitch well and C.J. Wilson needs to return and be effective. That's a lot of things that need to go the Angels way.

    It's never been easy being an Angel fan and it just got harder.

    He may not have been a great pitcher yet, but I believe he was on the verge of being a for real #1 when his knee blew out. So now he will have to come back from TJ surgery. That's a lot for anyone. I hope he makes it.

    I think all of the people that hope Albert retires early are experiencing wishful thinking. He just has waaaay too much on the table in terms of milestones and money to give it up.

    It's been close to a week since Garrett last pitched and I really doubt that anyone could be dehydrated for a week without some underlying problem. Hopefully it will turn out to be something minor but the red flags are waving.
