They tested cheese and pepperoni pizzas. What the hell's the point? That's like going to the Chevy dealer and walking past the Corvette to test drive the Aveo. Similarly, going with the big 4 is like walking past the Mercedes dealer to check out the Chevys.

If going to cheap big brand delivery route, Papa Johns is definitely the best.

 

One of the things I like about living out here is that there are a ton of small Italian places that deliver.

Domino's sucks. I got it from a couple of locations after hearing about the new and improved recipe and it was terrible both times. Greasy, bland, and soggy pretty much sum it up.

Round Table is really good.  I think of the four main ones Papa Johns is easily the best.

Domino's new dealio is good, better improvement. Papa Johns was my go to for chain pizza, I can't complain. Pizza Hut is terrible. Little Caesars is surprisingly good....I'm friends with some higher ups (they actually go out to Detroit all the time and the Ilich family takes them to Tigers and Red Wings games) and when we have a few pints they will break out the free pizza and breadstick coupons. For $5 it's pretty hard to beat.

 

But that's just the chains. If we start talking places like Twisted Gourmet in Corona, No No's in Rancho/Upland, Secret Pizza in Vegas, then it's a new ball game.

I think Pizza Hut has been the same since I was a kid. It's greasy and top heavy on the sauce and skimpy on the toppings. Their crust is easily garbage.

Agree with MT. Papa Johns if given a choice between the 4. 

 

There's really no reason to settle for this crap though. There are enough good pizza joints

Not out here.  The best one is 12 miles away.  They don't deliver and there is usually an hour wait to get a table.

meh, electric ovens don't make good pizzas.  I did make some good roasted brussel sprouts with bacon sunday night.  Tasty.

straw hat was pretty good, and shaky's had mojo potatoes going for it. of the four mentioned, however, i'll eat papa john's willingly. the others all blow.

 

 

one of my absolute failures as a father is that my daughter likes really crappy pizza. can hardly get her to eat any of the good stuff, but she'll eat pizza man or little caeser's all day long.

Ditto Round Table. Papa John's is terrible! Had the opportunity? just last week to eat a few slices of Little Caesars pepperoni - thankfully I didn't pay for the pizza - better than frozen I guess. Dominos and Pizza Hut  - I don't recall eating any  pizza from them in the last decade.

Domino's is terrible, Little Caesars is as bad or worse, Pizza Hut is edible, haven't been to Papa John's in years so I don't have much recollection of it. There are a couple of local places that lay waste to all of them.
