Tiger fires Foley.  I read lots of pundits saying that Foley is the reason for Tiger's back troubles so it makes sense.

 

He should go back to Butch.

Foley is Mahan's coach, can't be that bad.

 

Regardless, could just be a bad match.  I doubt it is Harmon though, pretty sure Butch has burned that bridge.

Yeah they weren't saying he is a bad coach, just that his swing is bad for Tiger because of back issues.

 

I doubt it will be Harmon either.  Check out this odds sheet.  Disappointed that Barkley isn't on there.

i still don't understand why a guy like tiger, who was so bloody dominant for so long, keep tinkering with his swing. go back to the swing you used to win the tiger slam and ten other majors!

Yeah but people that have worked with him say he has always tinkered.

Every time he had made changes, he has dominated except for this last time. I'm not sure the swing change had much to do with anything. I think popping pills and banging whores was the bigger issue for him.

Tiger needs to ditch the body builder physique and become more flexible.  He looks uncomfortable.  

 

and Tiger has always tinkered with his swing.  This time he seemed to reconstruct his swing.  The guy just needs to strike the ball and have the coach give some pointers.

and Tiger is not going to Butch Harmon.  Butch has Phil right now.  There is no way Phil and Tiger would wait on each other.  They would be too demanding.

Although Phil and Tiger seem to be getting along much better now.

the relationship is not the problem.  It would be a time demanding thing.  Phil basically has Butch on call while at the majors.

i think it was butch who said that tiger doesn't need a coach at this point. 

 

not sure what to make of that. his game is a mess because of his physical problems, and anyone who's ever played golf with some kind of physical ailment knows that it affects your swing. a good coach can help you through stuff like that.

 

probably tiger just needs to spend time getting healthy, laying off some of the weights, and get back on the practice range and just pound balls to get his swing back.
