I have seen the entire first season and I thought it was good. Of course being a Starz series it has it's share of blood and sex but not nearly as much as Spartacus. It seems very well written and the special effects are top notch. Starz has already approved the second season.

Both my wife and I work for Starz.  She works in marketing and her job is all about the originals.  She has to view the series ahead of time for marketing purposes and I get rewarded for it.

 

Last April I got to tag along with her to Vegas for a Spartacus party where we got to hang out with Liam the newer Spartacus and the guy that played Caesar.  We asked them to photo bomb us and it was hilarious.  

 

I think Black Sails is going to do awesome.  The only thing I didn't like was that it was only 8 episodes.

You're one lucky guy.  I loved Spartacus, but not in a sneakyflute type of way.

Hahaha.  Nice flute reference.  

 

I honestly think we cancelled both Boss and Magic City one season too early.  Our CEO is the former CEO of HBO that was responsible for The Sopranos, The Wire and Band of Brothers among others.  I think his entire purpose in life right now is to bury HBO.

Sorry to hear about Magic City.  I was looking forward to seeing what would happen with the gangster and lead character.  Although it was a little slow at times, I thought it was really starting to pick up.

Anyone still watching this?  Two episodes left.  I've really been enjoying this show, however the story line for this season has been draaaaging so slow.  It seems like they're going the Game of Thrones route where if you're hoping to see advancement towards a story, you might have to wait until next season.

 

Wish there was a little more swashbuckling as well.
