I was talking to some of my students in class last night and they mentioned a similar "game" called- 151.

 

Apparently, they take razor blades, sneak up behind you and slice at your ear with hopes of you needing 151 stitches.

 

(on a side note, can I change my name to just Sully? because I am kind of disgusted with the 151 even though it was a reference to an old REM song)

The juves who are perpetrating these stunts know that they'll only get a slap on the wrist, and they don't even think about the consequences.  These are the kids who get the limited parenting of "go get yours."

 

On occasion, I get to feed these punks their meal of Karma...  A few years back, I was walking out of a movie to my car and saw a "gangster" intimidating people as he walked through the parking lot toward the theater.  He didn't like the look I was giving him, stepped-up and said, "What the $@%^ you lookin at?!"  I pulled out my badge and gun, and responded, "Police.  Get on the ground, thug."  I made him lay on the ground as I called for some on-duty friends to come help him re-evaluate his choices.  My pals checked him for warrants, and sent him on his way.  I'm sure nothing much changed in his gang-mentality, but at least he'll hesitate to annoy regular people.

 

These kids will get checked at some point too.
