I am sure he is on the phone with Wasserman.  UCLA insiders saying that Mora is using this as a recruiting tool so he can tell recruits how much TX wanted him.  That he isn't seriously interested in the job.

 

Anyway ESPN reporting that Briles is their first choice and he will take the job if offered.

I guess after the bowl win the football foundation/facility got more than 10 million dollars in donations.

 

 

UCLA head coach Jim Mora has told the Texas Longhorns that he's not interested in their head coaching job...

Jim Mora has informed Texas that he's not interested in the Longhorn head coaching job, according to sources.

Texas and Mora's representatives were in contact and had discussions Thursday. The job wasn't formally offered to Mora, but it was discussed in a way that if Mora wanted it, the job was available.

The terms were not disclosed, but sources are indicated that the salary would have made Mora one of the top three highest-paid coaches in the country, provided a big pool for assistants salaries and greatly supported Mora's charitable endeavors.

Sources are indicating that Mora's bond with the UCLA team, the feeling that he's building something and not wanting to uproot his family were big factors.

How great is it to not only have a great coach, but he also turns down double his salary to stay based on integrity.  Don't see that much anymore.  Mora is awesome.

 

Also hearing that Mixon to UCLA looks really good.
