Really starting to sound like the Bruins will close with at least Clark and Soso tomorrow.  That would me the #1 QB, #1 RB and #1 TE in the nation in this class.

Yes, but how is UCLA doing recruiting a center this year? I've always said center is the most important position on the field. After all, if you can't snap the ball you lose 5 yards all the time (or half the distance).

Yeah they have a commitment from Fred Ulu-Perry the #1 C in this class lol.

Wow, Nate, that's a lot of number one players at a position. That's really something to get excited about for next year and the future.

Yeah this is a great class already and has potential for even more.  Crazy to think.  Mora and staff have really turned things around.

Bruins are going to have a good day today but...

 

Going to lose three big time recruits.  LJ Reed, a 4* WR is going to community college.  Cassius Peat is probably flipping to ASU.  Ryan Newsome is going to Texas.  Sounds like his family really wanted him close.  Bummer.  All important recruits.

Roquan Smith at 8:20 PST

 

Both are a bit unknown.  The feeling is that Wariboko is leaning UCLA and the same with Smith but both are out of state recruits with a heavy influence to stay home.  Both announce on ESPNU

Newsome officially flips to Texas.  Parents wouldn't allow him to leave the state.  The tough part about recruiting out of state.  He was a big need for the Bruins.  Next years WR class is loaded so hopefully the Bruins can capitalize on some tough losses this year.

Wasn't UCLA doing fine recruiting with Neuheisel? I mean, it's doesn't exactly seem difficult to recruit with their location...

He was inconsistent and there were definite good classes but a lot of really mediocre ones.  Mora has had them in the top 10 every year with tons of athleticism.
