2013 Prediction Game - Final Scoreboard, Awards, and Stats

The Game Day Prediction results are now FINAL.  This completes the fourth year that we have conducted this contest.

 

Congratulations to AngelsAndRamsFan, the 2013 Champion.  His was an historic finish to a great season of predicting, scoring a total of 126 points over the entire 2013 season.  He wins the grand prize of $100.  The total points he scored are an All Time Record since game inception.  He also set an all time record for 3 and/or 4 pointers in a season of 24.   His monthly splits were: 17/27/13/20/17/32. 

 
The Player of the Month Award for September also goes to AngelsAndRamsFan for scoring an all time monthly record of 32 points.  He has passed his drug test, and I’m sure most of us would like to take a trip to Las Vegas with the prediction skills he demonstrated this year.

 

The second place finisher is HeavenlyHalos, with a season total of 100 points.  He wins $50 in Angel Bucks good anywhere at the stadium.  The monthly splits were: 16/21/16/12/15/20.

 

The third place finisher is Ray McKigney, with a season total of 95 points.  He wins $30 in Angel Bucks good anywhere at the Stadium.  The monthly splits were: 23/12/10/19/18/13.

 

These were the "in the money" finishers.  If you would like to know your monthly splits, or how many of each point category you scored during the year, just PM me and I will provide them to you. 

 

The Rookie of the Year award goes to angelfan61, playing all the way from Afganistan through an Army firewall.  He was a late call up, but scored an outstanding season of  37 points, good for 27^th place.  Sorry angelsfan61, no prize, but we can certainly appreciate the effort.  Gotta be tough to deal with that time change.

 

For everyone else your place in immortality is recorded below.  I appreciate the effort and commitment level from everyone who played the game this year, the good sportsmanship, the funny moments, and especially your attention to the dreaded Rules of the Game.

 

For those who participated for the full year, I think the Game Day Prediction Game illustrates how grueling the season really is, for those playing this game, and for the players on the field as well.  It takes a lot of discipline to win, along with some luck, and a lot of attention to detail.  In the end only a few survive the process to finish strong, and only one truly wins.  It didn’t work out well for our team this year, for them they will have to find a new path to winning next year, and so will those of us who finished behind this year in predicting.

 

Have a great off-season everyone.  I will hope to see many of you at future AngelsWin events, and eventually at Spring Training in 2014.
