Indian Ruins of the Southwest

Has anybody ever visited any of the Indian ruins in the southwestern states? I have always wanted to go and I am thinking about doing a week or two road trip this summer to visit some places.

Mesa Verde is pretty awesome.  Been there a couple of times.

im not a geologist but i believe the rocks in the back of the big A are authentic indian ruins.

Don't know about the Southwest, but Foxwoods Indian Casino is back on TARP, so they may be a ruins soon enough.

I have been to Montezuma Castle in Arizona, and it's pretty impressive. Just north of Las Vegas in Valley of Fire State Park, there isn't much in the way of structures, but there are petroglyphs all over the place.

I've been to Mesa Verde.  Might be going back in a couple months. It is pretty awesome... not something you see every day... but probably more awesome if you are about five years old (it seemed like I had fun in the pictures) or it is your first visit. In my case, I'm guessing that will be true.

I have been wanting to do this for a while. I majored in history in college and I love the old west. I have been doing write ups on a bunch of historical sites in California and Nevada. I want to visit Arizona, New Mexico, Utah and Colorado this summer. I am actually hoping to compile everything and turn it into a book. Or at the very least make a website

It might not seem like it, but that's a lot to cover in one trip. Even if you have all summer, it might be an overload.
