I would imagine he is starting and BB was just saying that, but just FWIW.  I am shocked he is starting.  Hiller has to be way in BB's doghouse right now.

Hiller can't blame anyone for starting Gibson over him.  He has been shakey lately and we have more than capable back-up options.  I feel bad for the guy though.

YEAH BUDDY! What a great game. Maroon is in beast mode right now. Gibson was solid throughout the night. A soft goal to open the game but was nails after that. Loved the intensity! Wednesday can't come soon enough.

I was looking at the standings to see how our first round draft pick (Ottawa) was doing. Noticed now that Toronto has fallen off, only one of the playoff teams are Canadian.

 

Wow. For a country that produces so many good hockey players, they sure suck at finding guys who can manage them.

What a great game!  The Honda Center was rockin tonight.  Quite a few Shark fans in the building but the Ducks play on the ice kept them quiet for the most part.  I already can't wait till next wed/thurs for game 1!

Loved how physical the Ducks were last night.  It was great to see how physical they played.

I know I wanted to trade Hiller at the deadline over Fasth but now I'm starting to wonder if he would have gotten even as much as Fasth got us. He was only a rental.

Having home ice in the WCF is more important IMO than playing Minnesota over Dallas. Minnesota isn't a walkover either.

Doesn't matter if we lose in the 1st round again. Gotta have an opponent we can match up well against in round 1 imo. Best case scenario would be getting the #1 and Phx edging out Dallas for the 8 seed.

Agreed, Coyotes would be ideal but the Wild have been really clicking lately and have more talent than Dallas.  I usually hate when we play Dal but the Stars are the safer team I think.  Still hoping the Coyotes get in though

While I agree with you I still don't think Dallas as bad of a match up as Detroit last year or Nashville 2 years back. I also think that Minnesota is playing much better right now and are better defensively than Dallas, making them more dangerous in the playoffs.

Andersen gets the nod tonight. Looking more and more like Andersen will be the guy heading into Game 1. I couldn't be happier!
