I am trying to figure out the roster when Robidas comes.  The only D man with options left is Lindholm and no way the send him down.  Does Sbisa get released?  Do they just go with all D man as healthy scratches?

What was the point of trading Penner? 

 

The first line was doing fine with him there. They knew how to play with each other, and their size was a problem for most teams. 

 

Like the Robidas pick up, but I don't think we needed to trade Penner to pick him up.

 

We are #1 in the league...if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Penner is nothing special.  BB was obviously upset with him at times this season.  I don't think losing him in the lineup hurts much.  Gives Palmieri and Silfverberg more play time.

Apparently Kesler is PISSED he didn't get traded or just straight up called out the organization.

i would have loved kesler btw.

but murray knows what he's doing. if asking is too high its too high.

we have as good a shot as any to win it all this year. 

 

can always trade for kesler in the off season.

Everyone knows Penner plays his best during the Playoffs.

I don't get the hate for what Murray did at the trade deadline. From what I have read from other boards, the Ducks are one of the losers at the trade deadline. Penner was not going to make or break this season. The team's depth at forward is their strength, and they basically traded away one for a good stay-at-home right handed D.

Fowler - Lovejoy

Beauchemin - Vatanen

Lindholm - Robidas

I love that defensive depth. On top of that, I am looking forward to have other forwards like Palmieri and Etem have the opportunity to step up now. Even more, I am trilled Murray didn't trade away a high pick or prosect for a rental.

Most likely it'll be Palmieri and Maroon sharing most of the time with the Twins. Both have had solid games skating with them this season. Same with Beleskey. I think we'll be fine. I would love to get Kesler, but possibly we'll look at him again in the offseason.

Hiller was really strong later in the game.  That shootout was frustrating.  I don't get sending Palmieri out there.  Getzlaf needs to make a better attempt than that.

Yup.  You have to watch soccer for that.

 

Regular season is fine, since it's already a grueling long season anyways.  But nothing like a triple overtime thriller in the playoffs, with the goalie making just sick saves.
