Buffalo is awful.  Getzy's hatrick in the 1st was great, but I kept my hat cuz it's my favorite of my 2 Ducks hats.  The team has played one hell of a lot better than I could have ever imagined them playing to start the year!

I can't stress enough how much I can't stand Sbisa. He is so bad. 

 

Tonight's game was amazing. So stoked I didn't miss it. Traffic was absolutely horrible. My second hat trick game. Amazing that Getzlaf got it in the 1st period! Oh, and the PPG line now a combined plus 43. WOW.

Sbisa sucks...if Fasth comes back and proves he can stay healthy and Anderson keeps up the good work when sent back down I'd try to package Hiller/Sbisa for a better Dman.

Oh and Rakell's pass to Cogs on his goal was sick as ****!

Rakell made a couple really good passes.  This offense is really good.  So fun to watch.  It was great to watch the PPG line take advantage of a young D like they should.

 

BB and Murray have done such a great job with this team.

Last night was a jail break.  I was settled in hoping for a good game (they only lost to the Kings 2-0) the night before.  It was men vs. boys.  Getz had the easiest hat trick I've ever seen.

Isn't it nice to cheer on a team that gets off to a good start? Wish the Angels across the frwy would take notes. Building momentum and confidence early in the season can go a long way.

Hopefully we build off that and wreck Vancouver tomorrow. That'll be a nice test.

 

Also, I'm kinda shocked that Ponda has been empty in these two games since the long road trip. This is amazing hockey being played out there and they deserved a packed house. Get your asses out there, Ducks fans!

Only us die hards pay attention to hockey. After the Olympics, as long as the Ducks are still playing strong hockey, the crowds will come.

It's the California mindset. It's why you don't see Laker flags until the playoffs. Baseball is different because it's outdoors. You can enjoy the great weather while being entertained.

Eh, I don't think 15.5k is all that bad for a Fri night in November.  Of course I'd like to see a sellout but the Ducks will need more STH's and mini plan holders for that because single game tix are pretty expensive.  I predict we start seeing quite a few sellouts starting with either the 12/15 or 12/28 game and moving forward from there.

 

Also it did look pretty empty to start the game but by midway through the 1st it looked pretty decent.

The only reason there are two NHL teams in the LA region is the Snowbirds. When they arrive is when the stadiums fill up.

 

Other factors:

     - HS football ending

     - Pro/College football ending

     -The Laker situation

     -Christmas ticket purchases

There were a surprising amount of Sabres fans in attendance, much more than I thought there would be.

I have no idea, they tweeted that picture today...  Strange.  Was looking forward to them wearing those jerseys.

Turns out they had military members run out onto the ice ahead of the team to start the game wearing those jerseys.

 

Perry scores!  Team looks pretty out of sync so far.

Great win.  The depth of this team is just unreal.  No Hiller and no Getz tonight, no problem.
