Had to turn the A/C back on over the weekend. Record high of 86 on Sunday in Denver, 80s yesterday and today. Tomorrow, we're supposed to get a cool front so may not make 70...

 

Average first snow is mid-October, record latest first snow is November 21. Let's see if we set a new record.

According to weather.com, for Huntington Beach:

 

The average high for October 14 = 80 deg.

The record high for October 14 = 104 deg. (1961)

 

79 right now, might get up to 81

 

Not too bad.  The humidity is weird though.

Warm (80's) and muggy here in the Sierra. A few drops of rain last night, just enough to turn the dirt on the car into hardened rings.

(Yes, (gasp) we have cars with dirt on them here). It's like monsoon stuff, 20-30% chance of T-storms.

There will be little to no snow, even at 9-10,000 ft, if the storms are like this all winter.

Lightening show from the Sierra Crest here early this morn, before dawn. Cloud to cloud stuff, pretty spectacular.

Only about 5 drops of rain out of it, though.

Most of the rain from this whole 3-4 day system fell on the upper Mojave, and on the Grapevine I guess.

High in the mid 60's today, which is awesome.
