Drove the Redwood Hwy (101) from Oregon to Ukiah on Monday...it was SNOWING in/on the coastal redwoods, something I have never seen, nor have many others. Very rare sight. Totally amazing.

Yeah, I love the 30-day forecasts on accuweather where three weeks out they're predicting a chance of showers.

I'm going to do something about the weather and the fires in California.

I'm moving to the Oregon Coast (Bandon).

Enjoy being wet and cold all of the time except for the 8 days a year the rain moves south to California.

I enjoy wet and cold, so thanks. What I dont enjoy is heat, wildfire, evacuations, and smoke all summer.

I would like more than one rain system to come through in the winter time.   The January 9 one has been the ONLY one so far, unheard of even for SoCal for October through February.

Thanks Tankster. Already have a storage unit and have made 2 trips stockpiling belongings into it. Housing is at a premium so will probably rent for a while, while looking for something to buy.

It is the main draw to the area. There are 5 courses, all on the ocean, all are walking only..no carts. It's one reason housing is in such demand, as caddies and other crew descend on the area en-mass as summer approaches.

I swear, we haven't had any storms this year,  then the one day i travel, a huge storm effs up my travel schedule.  Cancelled fight, then multiple delays.  Finally got to SFO, awaiting my next delayed flight. Oh well, lots of bars to choose from.

You guys down there should be getting something from the system that has dumped rain and snow up here for 2+ days. We've gotten around 5 inches mixed precip from it. Covered in snow here this morning. Surprised the power has stayed on.

Of course it comes as I'm in the process of moving. And on that subject there's this..
