I'm looking at the 15 day forcast.  Looks like high 70's for Thanksgiving day and weekend.  Nothing wrong with that at all.

Love that part, just not the almost total lack of rain predicted through January (usually around 6-7 inches by January 31).

I am curious what the European models show for SoCal over the next 3 months. They tend to be more accurate.

2 years ago we were supposed to have the mother of all el nino's and socal got shit.  last year we were supposed to be a dry weak la nina and instead got well above average rainfall for december, january, february.  then we were forecast to be very wet for march/april but a high pressure ridge formed and we were very dry.  i take anything more than 2 weeks out with less than a grain of salt, especially in socal where we often just end up getting sideswiped by storms from the north.

Better than the 4 inches of rain in six hours last January 22nd. Anything is better than that. Flooded freeways, streets...no, thanks!

Agreed, best rains are the ones that drop an inch in 24 hours.    Enough to make everything look nice, without the flooding.

But of course, those like Lifetime would categorically deny that climate change is taking place.   SoCal has never, in 140 years, had the drought conditions it has had this decade.   If that isn't proof, nothing is.

Listen, it's not worth it. We all tell him the same damn thing this time of year, every year.  Don't waste your breath.  Just let him do his thing.

LOL

And just about every year this decade, it is the same thing pretty much.    Drought conditions, heck even though January-February saw above average rains, then it went right back to drought conditions after that.   The season (Oct 1 - Sept 30) saw right at the average of 14 inches of rain fall in the O.C.    A nice departure from the sucky drought of pretty much this whole decade, but mainly the very heavy rains that mostly wash out into the ocean.

It flooded our living room so AO can go sit on a box of tacks.
