WTF is with this bleeping weather?

Not this last Saturday, but the Saturday before.... 97-99ish all day. Completely still and very humid. Just miserable. Then around 9PM, the temp dropped by about 20 degrees in 20 minutes, we got hit by what I'm pretty sure was a microburst, and then proceeded to be without power for 48 hours.

Depending on where you live in OC it's been under 80 most days the last few weeks.

Becoming an almost daily scene somewhere in my county...this one is down in the ranchland a little lower, but still just a short drive away. Choppers getting water from the reservoir near me.

That's a buddy's place, happened to be in town when it started and knew it was in his area. He was mandatory evac shortly after that picture was taken, I was escorted out by Sheriff and CHP before that.

Called the Spring Fire...they are still hitting it with air attack tankers and have been since morning, and it's only listed as 15% contained, but it's surrounded and the wind has been down all day, so there hasn't been a lot of spread.. although there is plenty of smoke. 

It's going to be a really bad fire year..

we went to bakersfield on saturday and it was depressing to see that all of those beautiful wildflowers on the drive were not only gone (not a surprise), but the hills looked just as dry and brown as if there had been no drought relief this winter/spring.
