The wind was so strong this afternoon, it blew over my patio table and dumped the patio umbrella into the pool - and the umbrella was down. This patio table is about four feet across with a glass top and a metal frame - not exactly light.

They had to close down I-25 and its adjacent light rail line in Centennial (south of Denver) because the wind was threatening to rip down an IKEA sign.

Heck, since January 7, there's only about 1/2 an inch of rain in SoCal in general.

This El Nono may be as powerful as the other two biggest (1983 and 1998).

But it sucks!

After a warm and balmy Feb (fruit and nut trees up here are all blooming, oaks are sprouting buds, wild daffodils and irises flowering)...March is about to come in like a lion here in the mountains.

A couple more warm days, then rain is forecast EVERY DAY until late next week.

More snow up top, which is the most important.
